Deut 28:1-14

When we make the decision to serve YHVH Elohim because He loved us first so much that He gave His only Son to die on a cross for our salvation we humble ourselves! (John 3:16) We stand in complete humility and awe for a love so great that it is beyond our full comprehension. It is this love that empowers us to love YHVH Elohim, our families, fellow believers and our enemies. It is this love that brings us to a place where we want to be obedient to the instructions in GOD’s Word.

When we seek to be obedient because we are lovesick for our Bridegroom  blessings flow from the Hand of FATHER YAH ! (SS 2:5 & SS 5:8) When our focus is the blessings then our relationship is driven by effort and effort equals reward! If the effort lacks, the reward becomes punishment. One cannot receive blessings by effort only by grace!

The definition of the word rewards is:
“give something to (someone) in recognition of their services, efforts, or achievements.”

The definition of the word blessings is:
“GOD’s favor and protection”

Rewards are momentarily. The fame and glamor that comes with the reward is also short lived ! Blessings cannot be contained or measured it flows from YHVH’s Hand. Blessings glorify the Kingdom of YHVH Elohim and humbles the receiver of it. Blessings is a testimony of  GOD’s character. Rewards elevates self.

Rewards change according to effort and circumstances in the different areas of our lives. The blessings of YHVH Elohim that is outlined in Deut 28: 1-14 doesn’t change because it comes from the everlasting GOD that is the same yesterday, today and for ever. Heb 13:8 (KJV)  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.


Often rewards are linked not only to effort and a good character but to favoritism. Father YHVH blesses according to His will and purpose for our lives! He is no respecter of persons. Act 10:34 (KJV)  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
His blessings are not measured according to the amount of favor He has for different people.
1Co 12:4  Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co 12:5  And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1Co 12:6  And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1Co 12:7  But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

YHVH Elohim’s blessings is complete and lacks northing! It doesn’t require effort from us ONLY obedience to the loving instructions of His Word ! Num 6:27  “Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ěl, and I Myself shall bless them.”

Let’s pray:
Abba I stand humbled before You because I know I don’t deserve Your blessings but You pour them out on me everyday because You are  merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Exo 34:6. I praise You and honor You all the days of my life! Amen

Receive the blessing from the Hand of the only  everlasting GOD !

Num 6:24  “יהוה bless you and guard you;
Num 6:25  יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;
Num 6:26  יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.”
